kayducreator.com is run by Kay Du, a hiking and drone creator in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This page explains what personal data the site and its related channels collect, why, and what you can ask for. Questions: kaydu@kayducreator.com.
GPX downloads
Trail pages and GPX files need no account and no email. Downloading a file does not ask for any personal data.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is sent to Kit (ConvertKit), the service that stores the list and sends the emails. It is used only to send trail updates and related news. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask for your address to be deleted at any time.
Instagram messages
Comments and DMs on @kaydu_3310 are handled with ManyChat. If you comment a keyword such as “GPX”, the automation may ask for your email so it can send the trail file and guides. Giving it is optional. Your Instagram name and any email you share are stored in ManyChat and used only for those messages.
Analytics
Some pages use Google Analytics to count visits and see which trails people read. It uses cookies and collects device and usage information, not your name. You can block it with your browser’s cookie settings or an ad blocker without losing any feature of the site.
Forms
The event feedback form stores the answers you type in Google Firebase so the organisers can read them. Only share what you are comfortable sharing.
Hosting
The site is served through Vercel and Cloudflare, which process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks.
What is not done
Personal data is never sold, and it is not shared with anyone beyond the services named above.
Your rights
Under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you can ask to see the personal data held about you, correct it, or withdraw consent and have it deleted. Email kaydu@kayducreator.com and it will be handled as soon as possible.
